redwards Name: Dr. Cronk Utica (Robert Edwards)

Notes: Circa 1850’s Dr. Cronk stoneware sarsaparilla bottle. Robert Edwards of Utica ran a brewery manufacturing Dr. Cronks celebrated sarsaparilla in the 1850’s and this bottle is an example of a Whites Pottery made bottle.

redwards Name: R Edwards (Robert Edwards)

Notes: Circa 1850’s Robert Edwards ran a brewery in Utica in the 1850s listed as being on Lansing St followed by an address at 39 Genesee St.  He was mosy noted for being an agent for Dr. Cronks Sarsaparilla.

lamppin Name: Lamppin, J (John Lamppin)

Notes: Circa 1845 – 1851 pint stoneware bottle. Salt glazed tapered top beer. John Lamppin bottled and produced various beverages at # 62 Broad St. behind his residence. Mr Lamppin came to the U.S. from England late 1830s.

Notes: Circa 1860s – 70s half pint stoneware bottle unknown contents. Albany slip glaze brown. Avery Lord bottled and produced various beverages at # 66 Broad St. behind his residence from early 1860s to 1900.

Notes: Circa 1860s – 70s quart stoneware bottle stamped lemon beer. Avery Lord bottled and produced various beverages at # 66 Broad St. behind his residence from early 1860s to 1900.

John Mason Name: Mason & Co. Sarsaparilla (John Mason)

Notes: Circa 1845- 1848 Mason & Co. quart stoneware sarsaparilla bottle. Mason operated at a few addresses on Broad St and Main St from 1845- 1848. He was most notably known as an ornamental painter for at least 10 years before his bottling venture.
